The Mulukanoor Women Cooperative Dairy (MWCD) came into existence on August 17, 2002. It is registered under the Andhra Pradesh Mutually Aided Cooperative Societies Act., (AP Macs Act.,) of 1995. This is an ISO 22000-2018 certified Dairy. This is a Cooperative Dairy Union under which there are 192 primary Women Cooperative Dairies (WDCs) spread in Karimnagar, Warangal, Siddipet and Janagoan districts within a radius of 30 kilometres from Mulukanoor Village.
Mulukanoor women started exploring ways of investment which would benefit a large section of poor rural women. After a lot of brain-storming, they realized that many women had milch cattle and were already selling milk. Thus, emerged the idea of promoting Dairy on Cooperative basis.

Our service
The Dairy Union arranges supply of cattle feed on subsidy to societies (Primary Cooperatives), which in turn provide the same to their members. It has also provided Milk Testing Equipments, Electronic Weighing Machines & Lacto Scanners to WDCs on loan basis.

This is the first womenCooperative Dairy Union which for their success dairy receives National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) National level award for Cooperative Excellence-2012 from President of India and National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) dairy excellence award-2017. This dairy is not just producing yet another liter of milk, a vibrant dairy industry ensure an alternate source of income to the farmers and it leads to an all-round self-sustaining socioeconomic development at the village level.
